Topic from class that is personally relevant and interesting

There have been many things that have been very relevant and interesting in some of my classes but right now i would have to say that the most interesting thing i have learned is all of the research that has been done on animals testing emotions and behavior. Also how they act and respond mainly with chimps. It baffles me on the fact how they are so smart and act just like humans. There are even some chimps that can sign to interpreters which is amazing. Jane Goodall has had a huge effect on the study of chimps and everything about them. Another thing that has been very relevant is some of the writings we have done is English class. We have done a lot of writing on expressing our opinions which i believe is one of my favorite types of writing. It is really interesting and kind of amazing on how educated some of these professors are and how much they know about that type of field. I would have to say that i am learning a lot of knew concepts in college.

biggest issue facing college students today

I really don't think there is just one big issue facing college students today i think there are several. First i think a big issue as a freshman is making new friends and meeting new people. it is hard for a lot of people because they had so many great memories in high school and don't really realize that you have to move on. Another issue that i think is pretty pick among college students is picking a major. it is so hard because what you pick is most likely what you are going to do for the rest of your life and its kind of weird to think about. I still haven't picked my major and i really have no clue what i want to do there are so many things out there to do. I love so many things that it is almost impossible to choose but i am sure it will come to me sometime in the next few years. College as a whole is a big change for everyone. it is so much more different that high school it is crazy. when u finally go to college you realize that there actually is a world out there and it is a real big world. There are so many opportunities out there for everyone. You just gotta live and let it happen.

gender issues

I thought the discussion was very good and interesting. I liked how we got to talk for our selves and let our opinion be heard throughout the class. I thought the class participation was really cool because it got everyone involved in the discussion. He has some very good topics that we talked about. I didn't really disagree with what anyone said because it was there and opinion and i respect that fact that everyone has there own opinion. I thought that some of the things people had to say were pretty funny. There were some pretty funny stories going around, but i would have to say that i agreed with pretty much everything he had to say because he did prove some good points. If we had a speaker like this again i would enjoy listening to them speak. I didn't realize at first how big of a topic gender issues is but there is a lot of things he brought up that i didn't know so he brought a lot of new information to the table to me.

personal choices

My personal choices are pretty basic for a guy my age, nothing to extreme. My thoughts about drinking aren't bad at all. I do not think it is a problem that high schoolers or young college students drink as long as they are safe. Its a part of life and most people are gonna try it no matter what. Dating is a good thing for everyone because everyone does it, at some points I do think it is stupid because most girls all have a pretty bitchy side to them. My thoughts on drugs are pretty mutual, some i don't think are horrible but some are very bad and wouldn't dare to try them. This topic is the one that most people would care most about because drugs can screw a persons life up so easy. Everyone in there life cheats, it depends what kind of cheating but it is all bad. The thing i would never do in my life is cheat on a girl. I think it is wrong and very stupid, usually people don't understand what they do until after they did it. Cheating is one of those things, it might not have an affect right away but after you see a what you did to that person would be a horrible feeling. Personal Choices are an everyday thing, everything in life requires a choice. It might not be the right choice but every single person in this world lives off the choices they make. Right or wrong you have to trust your instinct and just live.

what is my cause

The thing i care most about is family and friends. Thats not the only thing i care about but they mean the most to me. I say my family because we are pretty close, but yet kind of far apart to its kind of complicated. I also say friends because i am always with them and i like being with them all the time because they know me pretty well. Even the new friends i have made since leaving home are awesome, but i will always have the same friends back home that i care about also. I can also say i care a lot about sports. If my teams aren't winning i get pretty angry, but it is all fun and games. The same goes for when i play sports. My friends and i are all really competitive so it gets pretty fun, But family and friends is where it is at.

volunteer experience

The volunteer experience i am going to talk about it when a friend and i worked on the montana veterans memorial in great falls. I thought it was pretty fun because you got to meet a lot of new people that like doing the same thing. It didnt really affect me to much besides the fact that i had to wake up at like 6 am. That was a struggle at least for me. If i had to do it again i probably would because it wasnt all that bad. I thought it was going to suck and be miserable, but it was better than i thought it was going to be. The one other volunteer experience that might have a bigger impact than working on the veterans memorial was volunteering at a nursing home that my dad worked at. Everyone there was so nice to me and let me do anything. I loved working with the people there and just helping them out. to this day i go there and a lot of people still remember me but it has been so long since ive been back there.
